Pratylenchus penetrans in Peach

21 Aug 2022

Symptoms caused by the root lesion nematode (Pratylenchus penetrans) on peach (Prunus persica) roots.

Ink painting/ drawing of symptoms caused by the root lesion nematode (Pratylenchus penetrans) on peach (Prunus persica) roots.

Painting of peach roots and the base of the stem. Brown lesions are shown as dark spots and indicate nematode entry points. There are fewer roots and lateral branches than would be seen without infection.

I tried outlining this image in brown, instead of black. The end product was ok, but I really prefer the stronger contrast of black ink and white paper.
