Cherry Oak Gall

Ink painting/drawing of cherry oak gall, also known as a nut gall, caused by the gall wasp Cynips quercusfolii.

The painting shows the abaxial (underside) of a single green pedunculate oak leaf with pale green veins. The galls are spherical and red, fading to yellow, with some raised bumps and yellow speckles.
