The painting shows a pea plant with three stipules, three compound leaves and sevenpea pods. There are small dark brown lesions on the leaves and stipules, dark brown stippling on the pods, and elongated dark lesions on the stem. On one of the compound leaves, the lesions have coalesced and spread to the stem, killing three of the leaflets.
