The original photos were supplied by Prof. Mahmut Tör, who recommended I start drawing plant pathogens!

This page contains the key references used to inspire and inform the creation of these pictures in 2022. These vary from symptom descriptions, to photographs with interesting leaf shapes or lesions!

It didn’t initially occur to me to create a reference section for each painting. I’m therefore gradually working backwards, re-creating the reference sections for earlier pictures, based on my internet history, bookmarked pages etc.

References are presented in reverse chronological order, with the most recent painting at the top, progressing towards the oldest as you scroll down the page.
